There Are Opposition Parties Here, Too

And, apparently, the heads of said political parties like to voice their opinions in the Washington Post.  Here you can find an editorial by Əli Kərimli discussing the state of democracy in Azerbaijan.  Kərimli himself is the leader of the main opposition party, the Popular Front of Azerbaijan.  He’s been one of the main spokesmen for a reformed democracy here in Azerbaijan since Soviet times.  He worked for Azerbaijan’s first elected president, Elçibəy, in the early 1990s and has since been a correspondent for Azadlıq (Freedom) and leader of the PFA.
