Other Adventures in ‘World’s Biggest’ Things
I don’t often post stuff about Armenia but I thought this worthy of your attention. Since we’re riding the wave of ‘World’s Biggest’ things, Baku displaying it’s gaudy banner of nationalism, we can also highlight what’s going on on the other side of the Caucasus. Tim sent me this story. It looks like the neighbors are sporting the world’s largest chocolate bar:
The Guinness Book of World Records certified the 9,702-pound chocolate bar at a ceremony Saturday.
It was made by Grand Candy factory and contains all natural ingredients, including 70% cocoa mass. The chocolate bar is 224 inches long, 110 inches wide and 10 inches thick.
Not much else to say here, I guess. Just another developing country exploring options that don’t help their people. Neat. So then, if you had to choose between being in a poor country with the biggest flagpole or the a poor country with the biggest chocolate bar, which would you choose? (And I suppose we can also make the stipulation that Azerbaijan really isn’t that poor, considering the lake of oil it sits on…details, details.)
